In the Animal Production Systems specialisation students learn
to describe, analyse and explore animal production systems

In our courses we are integrating animal production in its context, and will teach you how to analyse and understand how they influence each other, e.g., problems concerning production close to cities, optimal use of limited resources, role of citizens/consumers, intensification of animal production, environmental impact, and policies.

You may have chosen to specialise your MSc study on a particular aspect of animal production, e.g. nutrition, breeding or health. Even then, our courses could give a valuable addition to your specialisation courses. We study animal keeping from a worldwide perspective. So, when you are originating from a country with prominent smallholder production it may be very useful to follow one or more of our courses.
